Write to us and we will call you back
Tell us about the matter in your own words. You do not need to know which area it falls into, or to use legal terms: we will place it.
Before sending, you may wish to read our privacy policy (in Spanish). We would ask you not to include health data, criminal records or other people’s personal data in this form: describe the matter in general terms.
What it helps to bring to the first meeting
There is no need to gather everything before you call — in several matters the time limits are short and once they are missed nothing can be done about it — but these documents speed up the review:
- Inheritance: the will or the declaración de herederos (the formal declaration of who the heirs are where there is no will), deeds of gift, any capitulaciones matrimoniales (marital property agreement) and, if one exists, the cuaderno particional (the written division of the estate).
- Dismissal: the dismissal letter, the contract and the payslips for the last twelve months. Remember that the time limit is twenty working days.
- Divorce and family: the libro de familia (the official family record book), any earlier judgment or agreement, and a rough statement of income and outgoings.
- Criminal: the summons, complaint or judgment you have received, with their exact dates.
- Civil and commercial: the contract or the policy, the invoices, and the burofaxes (certified letters with proof of content) exchanged with the other side.
How we treat what you tell us
Everything you tell us is covered by legal professional privilege — the Spanish lawyer’s duty of secreto profesional — whether or not the instruction goes ahead. The data you give us through this form is used solely to deal with your enquiry: it is not passed to third parties and it is not used to send you marketing. The detail is set out in our privacy policy (in Spanish).
Opening hours
Monday to Thursday, 10:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 19:00; Friday, 10:00 to 14:00. Meetings are by appointment, so that the matter is studied before the meeting rather than during it.
Questions people ask before getting in touch
Can I write to you in English?
Yes. You can write to us, meet us and read our advice in English, French or Portuguese as well as Spanish. The court documents themselves are drafted in Spanish, as the law requires, and we explain them to you in your own language.
How soon will you reply?
We reply within office hours: Monday to Thursday, 10:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 19:00, and Friday, 10:00 to 14:00. If your matter has a time limit running, say so in the first line of your message.
Can I come to the office without an appointment?
We would rather you did not. Meetings are by appointment so that we can read the papers before you arrive: that way the first meeting is spent on your matter instead of on gathering it.
Does the first consultation cost anything?
Yes. The first consultation is quoted for; it is not free. Before you instruct us on anything you will know in writing what we are going to do and what it costs.
